Can you request a copy of a divorce decree if your not the one who got married?

I'm trying to research if there might be more members of my family and so i would like to know if i can request a copy of a divorce decree of a relative? We know that a marriage took place and was disolved sometime before the 1960's (last 50's most likely) but we have no idea who he married. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
