I was close to marriage before, twice: once to James Butler, second time to Henry Percy, and it all came to nothing. Now it's real! And he is the mist influential, most important man in my country! I just wondered: I collect headgear (hats and things), and have the finest collection in Europe. Should I bring it with me to my husband's place, or should I leave it behind, and start anew - new life, new collection, so to speak. What will be an appropriate and prudent way to act?Getting married: what is to do with my personal belongings?
Anne, my dear, DON'T DO IT!!! Run as far and hard and fast as you can, find some obscure corner of Europe to hide in, and forget about all of them! Trust me, sister, if you don't, you surely will NOT be needing all those hats!Getting married: what is to do with my personal belongings?
Just how important is this collection to you? And how does your fiance feel about it? Does he have the room?
If it were really important to me I wouldn't give it up, sounds like it took you a long time to accrue it. On the other hand, your new hubby may feel like his space is being invaded.
Best bet: ask him and compromise, it's what marriage is all about.
OMG, I love it!! How creative!!
What about your romantic involvement with my distant great-grandfather, Sir Thomas Wyatt?
I believe it was very unkind of him to bann Thomas from Court and send him to the Tower, even for such a short time, due to something that happened before you met Henry.
* Kidnap a small male child and claim he is yours. Make sure he's healthy.
* Give your husband an annulment, should he ask. (Especially if he doesn't like the hats--you won't win any friends by standing your ground!)
* Beware of musicians.
If you are going to keep collecting then i would say keep the most important ones and continue on! Although if you want to start with something new, get rid of the old and go for something new!
Take those with you to your new home, as nobody else will understand their importance and eventually will be damaged. Ask your finance to arrange for a good room for storing
I wouldn't worry too much about the hats, you won't need them for long if you marry Henry. if you had any sense you'd have settled for just being his mistress like your sister.
speak to ur partner first and see what ur partner sayes about it.. if it means anything to you let ur partner know..
