Is it better to be married when qualifying for a home loan?

My fiance and I are looking into buying a house in the next couple months. Since the house prices and interest rates are so low this is the best time to buy. We have our wedding planned for next April but we would like to know if it would be more beneficial to be married when purchasing a home to get the best rates and money back on our taxes next year. If it is beneficial to be married before we sign into a loan we will get married sooner to take advantage of the incentives. Is it better to be married when qualifying for a home loan?
I dont think that it will affect anything to your loan options. Is it better to be married when qualifying for a home loan?
It won't affect your rate but it is a really dumb idea to buy a house before you get married in case you break up between now and then.
