Just got married. How do i go about getting my new spouse her ID card for base?

I am looking mainly at Fort Dix NJ if anyone has any specifics.Just got married. How do i go about getting my new spouse her ID card for base?
You will need your ID card, your marriage certificate and her social security card...her maiden name can be on the ssn card providing it matches the marriage certificate.

If its a different name, she will need to get a new ssn card.

Your ID card is your DEERS card. They are not two separate places. Pass and Registration is a different place. Your ID card is your DEERS card. I used DEERS to actually make the card. If you have an ID card, you are in DEERS.

The DEERS/ID card office may have a checklist for base agencies (like Finance, Hospital/Tricare) you need to visit to update your marriage properly. Congratulations!Just got married. How do i go about getting my new spouse her ID card for base?
Go to the nearest personnel office on base, and have a copy of the marriage licesne, her birth certificate, nay divorce papers you or she has, and apply. They will take her picture and issue her an ID.and make copies of the documentation for your file.

If she is not WITH you, you go fill out all the forms, and submit the right documents. Then she can go to the nearest base and have her picture taken. The base she is at can have the documetation faxed to them and issue her an ID.

Be sure to change your insurance and other papers to show her existence. Trust me.
In order to qualify for a Military ID card, her information must be entered into DEERS a a dependent under you. This is to be done at the Personnel Office usually. You will need a copy of the marriage certificate to do this and it can take a little while. You must update all the information and put her as your beneficiary. Once that is done she is started on Tricare Standard (co-pay and deductibles) and can get the card. She will need the copy of the marriage certificate, a photo ID and her SSN card (it can be in her maiden name). Once that is done she can use anything that is allowed. If she wishes to start on Tricare Prime, she will need to go to the closest Tricare office to change or fax in the information.
You will need a copy of the marriage certificate and her SSN card. If she changed her name, the SSN card needs to have her new name on it. Take these to the DEERs office, and then once she is in DEERs you can go to your Pass and ID office. Check your base directory for phone numbers for these offices to get the locations. Good luck.
My wife's daughter just got married and her husband is in the Army. She will need her birth certificate to get anything done. Just having the marriage license will not be enough. Make sure she has her birth certificate, marriage license, social security card.
